Vilnius is plenty of activities and events and this week end the city was full of open markets .
Each year in the first days of March, the Vilnius Old Town streets are flooded of craftmans and folks artisans during the weekend of Kaziukas.I can compare with our " fete de la fourme " except you can't find cheese!!!
This Kaziukas attracs artisans from Lithuania and neightbouring countries .
The festival of St. Casimir the patron saint of Lithuanian was born in the 17th century to whom this fair was dedicated to in the 19th century. It is another of the most remarkable calendar festivals with century-old traditions
Traditional souvenirs can be purchased at this annual fair. Palm bouquets – handmade, colorful bouquets called verbos – are associated with Easter but are lovely symbols of spring even if you won't be taking them to church.
I enjoy this article to show some other Vilnius's pictures.

By curiosity about turkish culture , the center Caritas who helps teenagers with sociall problem called Balturka to arrange one meeting .
We received them with kolonia and some candies on the entrance , in order to involved them directly into our turkish atmosphere .
Kolomia serves for cleaning hands .
First of all , we presented us and Balturka . Hanife, a turkish teacher in university , explained about Turkey.
Then Ismet spoke about hospitality in Turkey . How they use to received guests and how they are devoted for them . For example in their house , they have a speacial living room just for guest .
After knowing the importance of the turkish coffee , i tried to explain and show on the same time how to do a good one .
Few minutes for degustation and i played the role of a coffee teller . I should interprete some shapes on the cup , to predict something about love , job , money...So for teenagers with some troubles it's no very comfortable !!!But they liked too much that i had to predict for everybody !
The turkish culture is also about food . So Ismet with 2 volunteers prepared a Mercimek Kofte .Its taste is revealed with some lemon drops into a salad leaf .It was really tasty and teenagers enjoyed as well .
They seemed interested by turkish culture and they participated a lot ...a good feeling was there . And we are wainting for the next event with them !

A Joyful Lithuanian folk festival .
We decided to participate in Trakai , 30 minuts from Vilnius , great and typical village !!
This event is to scarry the winter and welcoming spring time !!
Everybody like to dress up , eat tipical dishe , listen folk musik and over all dance !!And we were so cold with lot of snow ...we had to dance to survive !!
There is battle between huge guy( represent winter ) and tiny guy ( represent spring ) ...unfortunatly for our survive we were drunk a coffee during 1 hour and we missed it but we saw the effigy winter ( woman ) burning faster !!!
It was a very great atmosphere in spite of the storm of snow !!
