The 24^th of March , some students of 7 grades from Levo Krasavino school come in Balturka in order to discover Turkish Culture .

We arranged one special dynamic and interesting program for children!

After presentation of Balturka and Turkey in general …Viktorija explaned some basics Turkish intruments and showed short video. Mostly about saz and ney.

Ney is made of reed and you have to breathe in a special direction if you want to create one sound and you have to cover some holes with you finger. All children had the chance to try it but unfortunately no one succeed. It’s a real hard art!

An other hard kind of art …preparation of Turkish tea…Ismet explained why Turkish tea is so important , where is growing…..

Then , I was responsible to propose some games to be more dynamic .Each  team got point to get the certificate of the best Turkish language students.

Different part in game time. They had to create a basic dialogue in Turkish when you meet someone , a quiz about Turkey and to sing a simple Turkish son , Hadi baba gene yap.

Even of all children was men , we finished our presentation by a simple Turkish dance and degustation of tea with some cookies.

Children seemed very interested ,and they learnt a lot about Turkey and Turkish culture… and they said thank you for that offering chocolates for us.

During one week my parents came to visit me and Lithuania in the same time !

They were quite lucky because the weather was better than in France and for the first week we could fell spring sun!

The program was to stay few days in Vilnius and after to rent a car in order to visit easier the country !

First stop was in Trakai...

Second stop Rumšiškės , old Lithuanian village ! But now it's just a touristic place ! Unfortunatly the village looked ghost because before May nothing happen there ! 

We slept in a very nice hostel in Kaunas ...however we didn't visit a lot the segond biggest town !

We prefered to privilage Nida...paradise in baltic sea for Lithuanian people !

Lot of activities to do there...have a walk around sculptures , wizar hill full of wooden sculptures , hill of comorans, try to find amber in beaches of baltic see , to eat fishes , to go in platform to have nice view....

Normally when the weather is good , you can have one picture with the lagoon and the baltic sea in the same time ...At the end of the picture it's already Russia territory !

After Nida , short visit of Klapeida , town without interesting point so we went directly close to Siaulai ....

Hill of Crosses!

Around 100 000 differents crosses ...very strange atmospehere , even more when it's rainning !!

After Siaulai , i had to came back home ...so parents continued to visit by themselves one day more!!

After this trip we can say that to drive in Lithuania take lot of time even if distance are short...bad and small road and mostly not good indications !

Except of Vilnius ...you have to speack Lithuanian language...

There is no more amber in baltic sea ...

Visit in order : Goshia's house in Bielsko biala , mountain around Bielsko biala , Krakow and two hours and a half in Varso!!!

Bielsko is a really small town and it was snowing like in Chrismas so in April is quite hard for your moral !!!

But it's very close to montains where Polish people go to make ski...it's not like in France!!You take a bus , and after 20 minuts after city center you are already in the montain!!So you can guess that it's not so high !!However it's still nice !

Krakow...very nice big old town !!You can see a lot of young people ! It looks like a dynamic city everywhere...plenty of charm !

Huge square where people are playing music , selling some typical polish staff....

And when you want having a rest ...you just can have a walk in the riverside!

There is also an old jewish part in the city very interesting!

Unlike to Varso , town totally destroyed with war and now everything is rebuilt!    

 Zapiekanki is a typical food especially in Krakow...like a big tartine with mushrooms and onions...delicious!

To dye eggs is a famous Lithuanian tradition for Easter .

Indeed most of Lithuanian people are Catholics .

In front of lot of Easter advertisements ,we are quite astonished .

For occidental country like France it was amazing so for Turkish people it’s even more !

That’s why we organized in Balturka one special egg event .

At first , some explanations about Easter…Why Easter ? What is the meaning of dying eggs , rabbit  ?

And after Zivile and Silvia ,native of Lithuania , showed us different methods how we can dye eggs ?

We tried two .

Before the beginning you have to cook eggs .

 The first one was ….We can take some plants . To fix plant on the egg we roll thread around and after we put the egg into the sock .

We have to put this sock in a special color liquid during 5 min .

The other one is with candle. We use natural candle , we melt the candle and after thanks to a special tool , a nail in a stick, we can make some patterns in the egg.

The procedure is the same to paint the egg , except we just wait 2 minuts .

After ,with a knife , sweetly you have to put off the wax .

And like this you have a container of colorfull eggs .

The tradition is …you have to eat eggs after  .

Small game before eating …you have to break egg of your neighbour with your egg .

If your break that mean your life will be shorter than your neighbour .
